Former chef Brett Miller visited the Food! class before Thanksgiving break to teach the students how to cut and chop.  The students learned which knife to use, how to hold a knife properly and how to safely cut a variety of ingredients including: onions, tomatoes, cilantro, serrano peppers, garlic, and limes.  Together with Brett, the students made pico de gallo.

Checking in with the students after the break, one student made the pico de gallo recipe twice and a number of other students applied their newfound chopping skills to help cook Thanksgiving dinner.
